I was using https://coveryourtracks.eff.org/ to test how unique my browser's fingerprinting was, and when I first installed this extension, nothing appeared to change, so I uninstalled it, checking the box that it didn't behave as expected. I then installed the Canvas Fingerprint Defender extension, which works pretty well. I then re-installed Canvas Blocker and disabled Canvas Fingerprint Defender and coveryourtracks gave the desired results, giving even fewer bits of fingerprinting than either extension alone. It could just be an artifact of how coveryourtracks reports things, but it is looking like Canvas Fingerprint Defender anonymizes something, which remains better-anonymized even after disabling it, which then allows Canvas Blocker to better defeat coveryourtracks? Whatever the metrics and tests, it shouldn't really matter how unique it is reported to be, since Canvas Blocker should be generating new randomized values every time, meaning that even if it is unique, they still can't track you due to it always changing. The two extensions do slightly different things, and are both quite good at what they do.
excelente...
One of few that really works and generates a new signature at every detection trying.
Ótima extensão!
good
GERMAN ► Hält nicht, was es verspricht. Auf der folgenden Webseite kann man sehen, dass man trotzdem einen wieder erkennbaren Fingerabdruck hinterlässt, egal, was man in den Optionen einstellt: → https://coveryourtracks.eff.org/ ENGLISH ► Doesn't do what it promises. Activating the extension (setting "Random fingerprint") does seem to change the fingerprint on every reload on this site "https://browserleaks.com/canvas". However, on this site "https://fingerprint.com/" it keeps recognizing me. Even in Incognito/Private mode, after closing the browser or tab (and changing public IP-address using VPN). Although I do get the popup from this extension stating that the fingerprint is blocked. So, not sure if this extension is adequate if it only changes the hash in using these very specific steps. Using Brave on Win10, by the way. And fingerprint-setting is set to "Strict"
Fixed Fingerprint - This option isn't useful at all. You do NOT get randomnized Fixed Fingerprint by enabling this option. Your Fingerprint is same for ALL chrome based browser run within the same computer. You can test it using Comodo Dragon (chrome based) or portable version of Chrome.
