ProofSnap is a Chrome extension for creating verifiable screenshots of what you see online. Every capture is sealed with cryptographic proof, timestamped, and registered as an asset on-chain in the Numbers ecosystem. That gives each image a unique, traceable identity and an open, transparent provenance trail. How It Works:

1. Capture You hit “Snap” or use the shortcut. The extension takes a screenshot of the visible area of the current tab.

2. Certify ProofSnap generates a cryptographic hash, adds a timestamp, and sends the asset to the Numbers Protocol API. The screenshot is registered on-chain as a verifiable media asset with its own content ID and provenance record.

3. Check Later, you (or anyone you share the asset with) can inspect the content ID and on-chain record to verify the asset’s integrity, timestamp, and provenance, confirming it has not been tampered with.
